USA Masters Ski Jumping National Championships
January 30-31, 1987
Steamboat Springs, CO

The 1987 Masters Championships were again combined with the National Championships in Steamboat Springs but is was not nearly as well attended as the 1986 event. Only the Large Hill Championships were contested in Colorado -- the Ishpeming Ski Club bid successfully for the Normal Hill event to celebrate the centennial of their club.

Eleven Old Boys from three USSA divisions trained on Jan. 30 and competed on the 31st on the K-60 meter jump. The official result sheet was not broken down into age groups so we have done our best to break them down here.

The Steamboat Springs organizers published the Senior and Masters Class standings together in a single list, in spite of the fact that Masters took a much higher start. The results displayed below were extracted from that combined results sheet with the magic of Photo-Shop. The number below the skier's finish place is his place in the combined classes. The big hill Championship is contested on a single class -- it is not an age group event.
